- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★This was a great deal. I did the LA-SF-Napa-Redwoods tour for $295. This price includes bus fare, all meals, and hotel accommodation for 3-days/2-nights. Not included is the cruise in SF ($32-ish), Napa tour in Sterling Vineyards (this depends, if you take the regular ground tram -~$22+tax or ~$32 for the cable car), or the tip (~$30)--but it is still a steal. It's great to be driven around especially in Napa/Calistoga because you can sample the wines... and it's great for if you want to buy a case of wine (try lugging a case to SFO Airport and checking it in). I bought 3 bottles of wine and was only taxed $.54 It is nice to be able to take one bus throughout your trip instead of hopping on/off trains and buses, etc. The hotel was really nice (in Fremont)-- Marriott Fremont in Silicon Valley with a view of the coast (pay for internet separately, being your swimsuit because they have a pool) -- SF hotels are too pricey and too small. Driver (Mr. Cliff Kang) and tour guide (Mr. Kim, 김민석) were great. The tour guide was funny if you understand Korean, and Mr. Kang was a safe driver... up and down hills, steady speed... never did I feel unsafe. There were some non-Koreans on this tour. I plan on definitely touring with them again and inviting my friends. In addition to the destinations I mentioned, they took us to Solvang and a route of Santa Barbara I have never seen before (i.e. Neverland), and I must say the drive to the winery and back was stellar (reminds me of a cover art for John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath). If you go by yourself, there is an extra surcharge... however you get two seats on the bus, lol. Also, if you are not a fan of Korean food, you might want to bring some snacks or bento. For those who are vegetarians, definitely bring some snacks and alert Samho and your tour guide. We had pea soup, country-fried steak, mashed potatoes, and veggies for one meal. Dinner was fish, pork bbq, Korean miso, and a kim chi stew (this has pork). Breakfast at Denny's, lunch at Fisherman's Wharf (we went on our own), and dinner at Hometown Buffet. I think tomorrow, we are having a Korean stew, and burgers for lunch. LAST, there were outlets on the bus so I was able to do work and charge my phone in-between photos taken with my iPhone. And it is great to get to ask people on your tour to take photos because you don't have to worry about someone taking your iPhone.By Anne Hong, July 07, 2017
